Born and raised in Italy, where he earned his cooking skills from his mother and grandmother, Chef Massimo Tenino moved to the U.S. years ago. He spent five years cooking in Los Angeles, then five more in San Francisco before moving to Tucson and opening Tavolino’s in 2003. Recently relocated to Plaza Colonial at Campbell & Skyline, Tavolino’s menu features fresh salads, house-made to order pastas, meats, seafood and traditional desserts. The wine list showcases an outstanding selection of Italian classics and boutique offerings with many wines by the glass. The new larger space has inspired Chef Tenino to include additional specialty dishes including rotisserie meats cooked in the Tuscan style over an open fire in the new brasserie fireplace.
